DAY 1: DEPART U.S.A.

You leave this evening on an overnight flight to Tel Aviv.

DAY 2: WELCOME TO THE HOLY LAND.

You are met by your tour guide and transferred to the hotel in the coastal resort town of Netanya for overnight. (D.)

DAY 3: CAESAREA-HAIFA-MT. CARMEL–NAZARETH-CANA–GALILEE

Travel up the coastline to the ancient Roman City of Caesarea, to see the harbor from which Paul was imprisoned and taken to Rome. Continue to the third largest city in Israel, Haifa. Visit the Carmelite Monastery “ Stella Maris “. Here is Elijah’s Grotto and Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Enjoy the breathtaking view from atop Mt. Carmel before you proceed to Nazareth, one of the holiest towns in Christendom and see Mary’s Well , where the Angel Gabriel told Mary she will give birth to Our Lord Jesus Christ and the Church of Annunciation. Continue to Cana to visit the Wedding Church, site of Jesus’ first miracle. Overnight Nazareth. (B.D.)

DAY 4: GALILEE

Drive to the Mount of Beatitudes where Our Lord preached the Sermon on the Mount, than to Tabgha, Greek for Seven Springs and the Church of the Multiplication of Fishes and Loaves. Visit the Church of St. Peter’s Primacy. Explore Capernaum, headquarters of Jesus’ ministry in Galilee and see the new church built on St. Peter’s house. Visit Chorazim which was cursed by Our Lord because the people did not follow his teaching. Sail on the peaceful waters across the Sea of Galilee. See the “ Jesus boat “ uncovered in 1986 from the mud on the seashore by a group of young boys. There will be an opportunity to taste St. Peter’s fish for lunch (optional).  Stop at Yardenit, the Baptismal site on the river Jordan. Overnight Tiberias. ( B.D.)

DAY 5: GALILEE

Visit Mt. Tabor and the Church of Transfiguration, before proceeding down the Jordan Valley towards Jericho, the oldest known inhabited city in the world. To the south is the Dead Sea and to the west is the Mt. of Temptation and the Judean wilderness. Stop in Qumran, site of the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Late afternoon follow the Ancient Pilgrims route via the Samaritan Inn to Jerusalem for overnight ( B.D.)

DAY 6: THE HOLY CITY

Enjoy the unforgettable view from atop the Mount of Olives. Visit the church of Pater Noster and the Chapel of Ascension. Walk down the Palm Sunday road to the Church of All Nations in the Garden of Gethsemane. Descend across the Kidron Valley, to the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu where the Apostle denied Christ three times. Continue on to Mt. Zion, visit the Room of the Last Supper, King David’s Tomb and the Church of the Dormition. Conditions permitting, visit Bethany, site of the house of Mary and Lazarus. Overnight Jerusalem. (B.D.)

DAY 7: BETHLEHEM-EIN KAREM-NEW CITY

Start the day visiting Bethlehem, Shepherd’s Field and Grotto. See the Church of Nativity built over the birthplace of Our Lord. On the way back to Jerusalem stop at the village of Ein Karem the birth place of John the Baptist to see the Church of Visitation where Mary visited her cousin Elisabeth. Visit the Model City, and the Israel Museum to see the Dead Sea Scrolls. Overnight Jerusalem. (B.D.)

DAY 8: JERUSALEM : OLD CITY

Enter the old city via Zion Gate, see the Wailing Wall and the Temple Mount, the Pool of Bethesda, St. Anne’s Church (birthplace of Mary), the Chapel of Flagellation, Ecco Home Arch and onto the Via Dolorosa. Retrace the final hours of His life as you pass the Stations of the Cross, to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the site of Our Lord’s death and resurrection. Later attend a prayer service at the Garden Tomb. Overnight Jerusalem (B.D.)

DAY 9: BETHANY BEYOND THE JORDAN-MT. NEBO-MADABA-PETRA

Cross back into Jordan and visit the newly opened Christian pilgrimage site: the Baptismal Archeological Park on the east banks of the Jordan River. This area is believed to be “Bethany beyond Jordan”, and the site where Our Lord was baptized by John the Baptist. Continue to the top of Mt. Nebo overlooking the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. You see the “Promised Land” as Moses did, and see his reported burial place. Marvel at the oldest known map found on the ancient mosaic floor of St. George’s Church in Madaba. Overnight Petra. DAY 10: PETRA

The rose colored city of Petra is one of the most beautiful sights in the world. You will always remember your experience visiting Petra, and riding on horseback into the city, through the canyon. Visit the Tombs, the Treasury and the Monastery. Overnight Aquaba. (B.D.)

DAY 11: MOUNT SINAI

Travel through the Sinai Peninsula and to arrive at Mt Sinai for overnight. (B.D)

DAY 12: MOUNT SINAI

Very early this morning climb Mount Sinai and see where the Children of Israel received the Ten Commandments. See the famous art-filled Byzantine Monastery of St Catherine, built in the sixth century on the spot where the Burning Bush was believed to have existed. The monastery is named after the Egyptian martyr whose body was found nearby. Cross the Suez Canal to Cairo for overnight. (B. D).

DAY 13: CAIRO

Explore the Egyptian Museum, the Citadel, the Hanging Church and Mohammed Ali Mosque. In the afternoon bargain for treasures at the Bazaar. Overnight Cairo. (B.D.)

DAY 14: CAIRO–PYRAMIDS

Visit the ancient capital of Memphis; see the original form in the Step Pyramid, and the amazing Great Pyramid of Giza and the Sphinx. Experience the mystery of the Nile as you watch life unfold  as it has for centuries. Overnight Cairo. (B.D.)

DAY 15:- RETURN TO THE U.S.A.

You are transferred to the airport for the flight home. (B.)
