We visit the Chapel of Revelations, which contains the reliquary containing the heart of St. Vincent de Paul and the sarcophagus of Saint Louise de Marillac, co-founder of Sisters of Charity. We then have a panoramic tour of Paris, including the Champs Elysee, the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower. The tour ends at the magnificent Sacra Coeur Basilica (Sacred Heart). Overnight Paris.

DAY 3: PARIS- CHARTRES- ORLEANS-NEVERS

Depart for Chartres to see the magnificent 13th century cathedral, which houses one of Christianity’s most sacred relics, the “ Sancta Casmisia”, the Holy Veil of the Blessed Mother. Tradition tells us that this is the veil Mary wore when she gave birth to the Lord. Our next stop is Orleans, home of St. Joan of Arc. We visit the museum-home before continuing to Nevers. DAY 5: ARS – LA SALETTE

We celebrate Holy Mass at the Altar of St. John Vianney, Patron Saint of Parish Priests, and then depart early for La Salette. Situated high in the French Alps, this pilgrimage site is one of the most fascinating spiritual places in France, with one of the most beautiful Basilicas dedicated to the Glory of the Virgin Mary.  In 1846, the Virgin Mary appeared to shepherd children and gave each of them a secret and a message calling for repentance from widespread religious apathy. The place of the Apparition is forever marked by a miraculous well, and was confirmed by the Vatican in 1942. We are especially touched at the statue showing Mary as the Help of the Sinners. Overnight in La Salette. (B.D.)

DAY 6: LE PUY

This morning we celebrate Holy Mass at the Basilica of the Blessed Virgin Mary and pray to Our Lady of La Salette.  We depart for a drive through the countryside of Provence, dotted with vineyards, villages, fields of sunflowers and lavender to Le Puy. With the exception of the Italian shrines, this Marian shrine received more papal visits than any other. You are greeted by a huge statue Our Lady of France with the Infant Jesus, towering over the city on one hill, and on the other, the Sanctuary of St. Michel. In the Cathedral you see the statue of the Black Madonna. Overnight Le Puy area. (B.D.)

DAY 7: LE PuY-LOURDES

Today we arrive at the largest Marian pilgrimage center in the world, Lourdes. Here the Virgin Mary appeared to Bernadette in 1858. Upon arrival, we have Mass at the Grotto of Revelations. In the evening participate in the spectacular Candlelight Procession joining thousands of pilgrims in praying the Rosary and singing hymns in honor of the Mother of God. Overnight in Lourdes. (B.D.)

Built in the eleventh century, possibly on the site of a church founded by Charlemagne, it rises strong and severe above the gazebos, vegetable gardens and tile roofs of the houses at its feet.
