DAY 1 :DEPART USA

Depart USA on an overnight flight to Krakow.

DAY 2: KRAKOW

Upon arrival you are met by your tour escort and transferred to the hotel. Afternoon is at leisure to become acclimated to a new time zone. Welcome dinner with a folklore show. Overnight Krakow. (B.D.)

DAY 3 : CZESTOCHOWA- WADOWICE- KRAKOW

Depart Krakow and drive to Czestochowa, a city which has been for the past 600 years the principal center for Catholics in Poland and a shrine for pilgrims. Visit Jasna Gora Monastery with religious, historic and artistic value. Our guide will show us the Gothic Chapel of Our Lady, the famous Black Madonna Icon hangs on a magnificent silver and ebony alter. Tour the treasury and celebrate Mass at the Shrine. On the return to Krakow we stop in Wadowice, Pope John Paul’s II birthplace, to see the house where Karol Wojtyla was born and the church where he was baptized. Proceed to Krakow, our home for the next two nights. (B.D.)

DAY 4 : KRAKOW

We begin our day with a visit to the Mariacki Church and celebrate Mass at the world famous Wit Stwosz. Proceed to the Old Town to visit St. Mary’s Church, famous for its wooden altar.  See the ancient Market Square and the Cloth Hall. It is a unique place where many generations of Polish miners have created a world of underground salt lakes with a rich interior of decorated chapels, including the famous Blessed Kings Chapel. Continue to the Convent of Sisters of Mercy in Lagwieniki, where St. Faustina, the Apostle of Divine Mercy, lived and died. We will also see the newly dedicated international Shrine of Spirituality by Pope John Paul II in August 2002. (B.D.)

DAY 5 : KRAKOW- PRAGUE

Depart Krakow for the “Golden City” of Prague, one of Europe’s most attractive capitals. Overnight Prague.(B.D.)

DAY 6 : PRAGUE

Spanning the River Vtlava, Prague ranks as one of the most beautifully preserved cities in Europe. The town is famous for its Gothic and Baroque architecture. Visit the Shrine of Loretto, one of the most important pilgrimage shines in Europe. Wonder at the graceful enormity of Prague Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral, the Church of Our Lady of Victory and the statue of the Infant Jesus of Prague. After Mass, cross the historic Charles Bridge, built in 1400, and admire its Baroque statuary. Visit the Old Town Square with its famous astronomical clock, which comes alive when the hour strikes and the twelve disciples appear to bless the crowd. We will also have the opportunity to visit the Tyn Church. Recall the timeless masterpieces of Mozart, Wagner and Berlioz while viewing the city’s many theaters and opera houses. DAY 7 : PRAGUE-MELK-VIENNA

Today you depart for Austria and the majestic old world city of Vienna. Enroute stop for Mass at the baroque Melk Abbey, the most beautiful in Austria, where you see the glorious gardens, Emperor’s gallery, marble hall, and the library. Overnight Vienna. (B.D.)

DAY 8 : VIENNA – MARIAZELL

Our sightseeing includes the Terraced Gardens of Prince Eugene’s Belvedere Palace, Hofburg Palace and the State Opera. Visit St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the Prater amusement park with its giant ferris wheel, and the ultra-modern United Nations City on the banks of the Danube River. Afternoon excursions to Schronbunn Palace and the main Marian Shrine in Austria, Mariazell, where you have Mass. Overnight Vienna. (B.D.)

DAY 9 : VIENNA – ZAGREB

This morning depart Vienna for Croatia. Cross the Maribor and stop at the Sanctuary Maria Bistrica near Zagreb in Croatia. Celebrate Mass at the Shrine (National Sanctuary of Croatia), then on to Zagreb, the cosmopolitan capital of Croatia. Here we have a brief city tour, including a visit to St. Mark’s square, before we relax for the night. Overnight Zagreb. (B.D.)

DAY 10 :PLITVICE LAKES-SPLIT

Start the day with a visit to Plitvice Jezera for a panoramic drive to view the lakes, a natural wonder and on the UNESCO list. Plitvice Lakes-National Park is an area of stunning natural beauty encompassing lakes, waterfalls, forests and lush vegetation. The park contains 16 lakes joined by waterfalls, which create giant ice sculptures in winter and is truly one of the most beautiful sites to visit in Europe. Continue from Plitvice Jezera to the city of Split, the historic coastal town. Overnight Split. (B.D.)

DAY 11: SPLIT-MEDJUGORJE

After a morning tour of Split we depart for Medjugorje. Enroute we stop at the Shrine of Little Lourdes. Medjugorje, is the small town, where since 1981, the Blessed Virgin Mary has been appearing and giving messages to the world. This evening we will join the local people of Medjugorje as they pray the Rosary.  Be present when Our Lady appears to the visionaries, and take part in the evening Croatian Mass celebrated by the local people for all the pilgrims in Medjugorje. DAY 12 : MEDJUGORJE

This morning celebrate mass at St. James Church. Take a leisurely climb up the Hill of Apparitions, to see the Blue Cross, the sight of the first apparition. Then visit Siroki Brijeg to celebrate Mass and experience the healing powers of Father Jozo. You also have time to climb the Holy Cross mountain as you pray Stations of the Cross. (B.D.)

DAY 13: MEDJUGORJE

Today is devoted to prayer and personal activities. (B.D.)

DAY 14: MEDJUGORJE-DUBROVNIK

This morning depart for “Pearl of the Adriatic” and one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, Dubrovnik. We have a walking tour of the old town, and Mass at the Church of St. Blaze. Afternoon is at leisure to enjoy the warmth of the Adriatic sun, relax in a cozy café or finish last minute shopping. Tonight we have a farewell dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight Dubrovnik. DAY 15: DUBROVNIK- USA

Following breakfast this morning transfer to the airport in Dubrovnik for our return flight to the United States. (B.)
