Fr. Thomas Schaefgen, O.P. is a priest and friar of the Dominican Province of St. Martin de Porres.  Originally from Memphis, he was ordained in 2013 and was director of the Catholic student center at Tulane University until 2021.  He now resides in Houston, Texas, where he is pursuing graduate studies in Philosophy at the University of St. Thomas.  He traveled to the Holy Land in 2017 and 2019 and is excited to accompany you on this life-changing encounter in the land of the Gospel.

Fr. Francis Orozco, O.P.

A native of Oklahoma, Fr. Francis entered the Dominican Province of St. Martin de Porres in 2009. He professed solemn vows in 2013 and was ordained a priest in June 2015. His first three years as a priest, he served as the Parochial Vicar of St. Elizabeth University Parish in Lubbock, TX, and as Chaplain to Raider Catholic, the Catholic Student Center at Texas Tech University. Fr. Francis was Director of Vocations from 2018-2021. Fr. Francis currently serves as Master of Novices and lives in Irving, Texas (Dallas). He has been to the Holy Land twice before and enjoys traveling, preaching, and watching movies.

Fr. Carl Joseph Paustian, O.P.

Fr. Carl Paustian, O.P. is a Dominican Friar of the Province of St. Martin de Porres. He was ordained to the priesthood in 2018 and has spent his first three years of ministry at St. Elizabeth’s University Parish in Lubbock, Texas, as the Chaplain to Raider Catholic Campus Ministry at Texas Tech University. In July 2021, Fr. Carl moved to New Orleans to serve as the Director of Vocations for the Dominican Friars. Originally from Houston, Fr. Carl is a graduate of Texas A&M University. He is excited to travel to the Holy Land and to walk in the footsteps of Jesus and his disciples.
