Join Fr. Nicholas Voelker on Pilgrimage
My Dear Friends in Christ,
On May 25, 2002, my life was changed forever when I was ordained to the priesthood for the Catholic Diocese of Wichita. In 2027, I will celebrate my 25th anniversary as a priest. Inspired by the Holy Spirit, I am prompted to lead a pilgrimage to the Eternal City of Rome.
Throughout my vocation, I have served numerous parishes in the diocese, including St. Elizabeth Ann Seton (West Wichita), St. Rose (Council Grove), St. Anthony (Strong City), St. Teresa (Hutchinson), Holy Trinity (Little River), St. Mary’s (Newton), and St. Peter the Apostle (Schulte). I currently serve as the Chaplain for the Trauma 1 Catholic hospital, Ascension Via Christi St. Francis. In my personal time, I enjoy bike riding, grilling, painting, and spending time on the water jet skiing or at the beach.
I come from a family of eight children. Though both of my parents have passed away, I had the profound privilege of celebrating both of their funeral Masses.
I invite you to join me on this pilgrimage in thanksgiving to Almighty God and our Blessed Mother Mary for my twenty-five years of service in the priesthood of Jesus Christ.
Blessed Fulton Sheen, pray for us.
God love you,
Fr. Nicholas Voelker
