Visit Sites Associated with the Sacred Heart of Jesus

• Sacré-Cœur – which crowns Paris, France as a permanent act of national consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
• Paray-le-Monial – where Our Lord appeared to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque in a series of visions between 1673 and 1675, revealing His Heart burning with love for humanity and entrusting her with a mission for the whole Church.
• Ars-sur-Formans – home of St. John Vianney, the Curé of Ars, one of the most beloved priests in the history of the Church. His entire priestly life was animated by a burning, Eucharistic love for the Heart of Jesus
• Annecy – the city of St. Francis de Sales, Bishop of Geneva, Doctor of the Church, and patron saint of writers and journalists, and, crucially, the co-founder with St. Jeanne de Chantal of the Order of the Visitation of Holy Mary, the very religious family in which St. Margaret Mary Alacoque entered, received her visions of the Sacred Heart, and ultimately died a saint.
• Lourdes – The devotion to the Sacred Heart and the apparitions at Lourdes are deeply connected: both are expressions of God’s tender, merciful love reaching out to humanity through humble chosen souls.
