Select International Tours Plan
Life happens. Sometimes, an unexpected illness or injury sidelines you or an immediate family member. With the Select International Tour Plan, these setbacks won’t force you to sacrifice your travel investment. You can cancel, for covered reasons, up until the time of departure for up to a 100% refund of your non-refundable costs, with appropriate documentation. All cancellations must be in writing.
In addition to covering you for pre-trip cancellation, the Select International Tours Plan also offers benefits for trip interruption, travel delay, missed connection, baggage, accident and sickness, medical expense, and more. Why Purchase the Select International Tours Plan with Optional Cancel for Any Reason Coverage?
Cancel for Any Reason coverage is not a stand-alone travel protection plan but an optional add-on coverage that expands trip cancellation coverage to include canceling a trip for any reason. The additional coverage must be added to the Select International Tours Plan at the time of the original plan purchase and within 10 days of the date your initial trip deposit is received. Additional terms apply (see below). The Select International Tours Plan is an extensive plan that includes trip cancellation coverage for specific covered reasons, such as illness or specified employment reasons, in addition to many other benefits. While trip cancellation coverage may offer 100% reimbursement, you must provide documentation acceptable to the insurance provider to support the reason for your cancellation. When you purchase CFAR, you can then cancel your trip for any reason.
How does the Select International Tours Plan with CFAR differ from the Select International Protection Plan?
Both plans have the same overall coverage including benefits for baggage loss, trip interruption, medical coverage, and more. But only CFAR coverage allows you to cancel for any reason not already covered under the plan. Examples of some unforeseen events:
- Unexpected illness of a friend, pet, or non-immediate member of the family
- Changes in financial circumstances
- COVID-19 or similar
While CFAR offers much broader coverage for cancellations, there is an additional cost for this optional coverage and there are some restrictions. CFAR must be purchased within 10 days of the date your initial trip deposit is received and at the time of the original plan purchase. You must have paid Select International Tours the full cost for all non-refundable trip costs prior to your cancellation. Cancellations must be at least 48 hours before your scheduled departure. CFAR is not available to residents of Washington or New York State. CFAR offers reimbursement of up to 75% of your insured, non-refundable trip costs. Even with the added cost, if you’re booking an expensive trip and there is a chance you may have to cancel, this optional benefit can help provide coverage should you need to cancel for any reason not already covered under the plan.

The Select International Tours Plan gives you the option to purchase Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) coverage at an additional cost for broader protection of your financial travel investment. With a CFAR plan, you may cancel for any reason up to 48 hours prior to your scheduled departure and receive reimbursement of up to 75% of your non-refundable, insured trip costs. Payment for CFAR must be included within 10 days of the date your initial trip deposit is received and at the time of initial plan purchase. Additional terms apply. CFAR coverage cannot be purchased by residents of Washington or New York State.
NY State residents may purchase the Select International Tours Plan, which has the same general coverage as the Select International Tours Plan with CFAR but allows you to cancel only due to specific covered reasons listed in the plan summary. The Select International Tours Plan may be purchased at any time, but some time-sensitive benefits may not be available, such as the waiver for pre-existing conditions. All plan payments are non-refundable after the 10-day free look period. Your coverage ends upon the completion of your trip. Be sure to review the terms of the plan to understand what it covers. Q: How do I file a claim?
A: If you need to cancel your trip, please notify Select International Tours in writing first. We will provide you with the paperwork the insurer will need to process your claim. Then, speak with Trawick International to open the claim and learn what supporting documentation will be needed to process it.
Q: I just upgraded my flights; are they covered too?
A: Generally, your insurance premium is based on the total trip cost. If your new flights have raised your total trip cost, you should speak with Trawick International to see that you have sufficient coverage.
Q: I live in a state where CFAR isn’t available; what should I do?
A: While Cancel for Any Reason coverage may not be available for your state, other coverage may be available to protect your travel investment. Contact Trawick International to learn more.
