We arrive in Paris, France, where we are greeted by our Select International Tours English-speaking tour manager, who will be with us for the entire trip. We board our motorcoach for a two-hour bus ride to Lisieux. En route, we stop to see the magnificent Basilica of Chartres, where we visit the basilica and the crypt and celebrate Mass. Following lunch at leisure and an opportunity to explore the lovely little village of Chartres, we drive to Lisieux, settle into our hotel, and have a well-deserved night of rest. Dinner and overnight in Lisieux.
After breakfast, we visit the home of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, the Little Flower. We also visit the Carmel Convent, where we celebrate Mass, and Les Buissonnets, the humble dwelling of the Saint. We have time for prayer at the magnificent Basilica of St. Therese and quiet reflection in the Crypt. Dinner and overnight in Lisieux.
We drive through the beautiful French countryside toward the Normandy Beaches. The 54 miles of Atlantic coastline stretching from Utah Beach in the west to Sword Beach in the east are dotted with WWII museums, monuments, cemeteries, and battle sites left in tribute to the courage of the British, Canadian, and American armies that successfully carried out the largest military operation in history: D-Day. On these serene beaches, at dawn on June 6, 1944, the Allies finally gained a foothold in France. From this moment, Nazi Europe was destined to crumble. Continue driving through the beautiful Normandy countryside toward Omaha Beach, where we see the American Memorial and Cemetery. We celebrate Mass near Omaha Beach and remember our brave, fallen soldiers. Then, continue to Pontmain for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, enjoy a full day in Pontmain. We visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Pontmain, built on the site of the apparition of Our Lady, and see the Apparition Barn, the Crypt, and the Marian Message Wall. We pray the Stations of the Cross and celebrate Mass at the Basilica. Dinner and overnight at the retreat house in Pontmain.
This morning, we drive to Mont Saint-Michel, the principal shrine of the Archangel Michael and one of the medieval wonders of Europe. Our visit here includes the Grande Rue and the Benedictine Abbey, which is perched atop the rock island. Visit the Romanesque Church of St. Michael for prayer time and Mass (pending confirmation). The rest of the day is free to explore on your own, including dinner at leisure. Overnight in Pontmain.
Today we have a full-day retreat in Pontmain. After breakfast, we have Adoration until dinner, using the chapel at the retreat center. Dinner and overnight in Pontmain.
After breakfast, we board the motorcoach and head to Paris for a panoramic city tour that includes driving past sights such as the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower, the Opera House, and more. We visit the newly restored Notre Dame Cathedral and celebrate Mass (TBC). Dinner is at leisure tonight to enjoy the food at one of the many restaurants and bistros that line the streets of Paris. Overnight in Paris.
Our first stop today will be at the Shrine of Saint Vincent de Paul, where the saint’s body is on display in a reliquary. From there, we walk a short distance to the Chapel of the Miraculous Medal at Rue de Bac, where Our Lady appeared to St. Catherine Laboure in 1830 and where she is buried. We celebrate Mass in this sacred spot. This afternoon, we journey to the top of Montmartre and visit the Sacre Coeur Basilica. Tonight, enjoy seeing illuminated Paris from a dinner cruise on the Seine River. Overnight in Paris. (B. Special dinner)
Following breakfast and hotel checkout, we are transferred to the train station, where we board the TGV Bullet train, which takes us across France to Lourdes. Upon arrival, we check into our hotel and walk to the Grotto to celebrate Mass. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes.
We have a full-day pilgrimage in Lourdes, which includes visiting St. Bernadette’s home, the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, the Miraculous Spring, the Shrine of Bernadette, and praying the Stations of the Cross. The rest of the day is free for private devotions, visiting the Miraculous Baths, and participating in other planned activities at the Shrine. Mass will be celebrated with the renewal of our Marian Consecration. Tonight, after dinner, we return to the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes to join pilgrims from all over the world for the beautiful candlelight procession. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes. (B. Farewell dinner)
This morning, we drive two hours to Toulouse airport for our flights back to the USA.
