Day 1June 17, Thursday
DEPART FROM USA
+

Depart this evening on an overnight flight to Paris. Dinner and breakfast will be served on the plane. Quotes for add-on flights from most domestic airports, as well as for Premium Economy and Business Class upgrades, are available upon request. We work with group airfares, which do not permit seat selection. If you wish to reserve specific seats on the flights, we recommend purchasing your own airline ticket and the land-only option with us. When purchasing the land-only option, be sure to consult with us before purchasing your airline tickets so you can participate in the transfers and group activities on June 18.

Day 2June 18, Friday
PARIS – GIVERNY – LISIEUX
+

Upon arrival in Paris, we meet our Catholic, English-speaking, European tour escort, who will accompany our group while in France. We board our motorcoach for a drive to Lisieux, the home of St. Therese, whom Pope Pius X called the greatest saint of modern times. Time permitting, we stop in Giverny to visit the home of impressionist painter Monet with its magnificent garden, lily pond, and the famous Japanese bridge familiar to us from the great artist’s work.* Upon arrival in Lisieux, we celebrate Mass and settle into our home for the next three nights. Dinner and overnight in Lisieux. *This visit depends upon flight arrival times. The walk from the bus to the house and gardens is about 15 minutes by foot.

Day 3June 19, Saturday
LISIEUX
+

This morning, we explore the places related to the life of St. Therese. Her extraordinary love for God and service to humanity come alive as we visit the Cathedral of St. Peter and Les Buissonnets, her family home. Relics, clothing, and personal objects belonging to the Little Flower are on display. View the statue depicting the Virgin Mary, who smiled at St. Therese during an ecstasy before curing her illness. Combine your prayers in the Carmel Chapel with those of the Carmelite sisters, just as St. Therese did before her death in 1897. We celebrate Mass at the Basilica and have time for prayer and personal devotions. In the afternoon, enjoy time at leisure in Lisieux to explore on your own. Dinner and overnight in Lisieux.

Day 4June 20, Sunday
LISIEUX – MONT SAINT-MICHEL
+

After breakfast, we enjoy a wonderful excursion to see the unique beauty of Mont Saint-Michel, one of the most famous abbeys in the world due to its location – perched on a rock in the Gulf of Saint-Malo. At high tide, Mont Saint-Michel becomes an island fortress surrounded by the sea. The causeway to the mainland is only accessible during low tide. The Mont Saint-Michel monastery, dating to the 8th century, was built to get “as close to heaven as possible.” Today it is one of the world’s top pilgrimage sites and among UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites. Mass will be celebrated. Return to Lisieux for dinner and overnight at our hotel.

Day 5June 21, Monday
LISIEUX – ROUEN – PARIS
+

After breakfast, we check out of the hotel and board our motorcoach for Rouen, where we have a walking tour of the historic town center. See the magnificent Cathedral of Notre Dame, whose west façade Monet often painted at different times of day; the Cathedral houses the heart of Richard the Lionhearted. We also visited the immersive Joan of Arc Memorial (Historial Jeanne d’Arc), where St. Joan was condemned to death and where her second trial took place. Visit St. Ouen Abbey and the site where St. Joan of Arc was burned at the stake in 1431. Mass will be celebrated at the Church of St. Joan. We depart for Paris in the late afternoon and check into our hotel. Dinner is at leisure. Overnight in Paris.

B
Day 6June 22, Tuesday

B
Day 7June 23, Wednesday

We see the incorrupt remains of St. Catherine and the heart of St. Vincent de Paul in the Chapel of the Daughters of Charity, then visit the Church of St. Vincent de Paul. We visit Notre Dame Cathedral and the nearby St. Chapelle to see the magnificent windows. The rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy Paris. Tonight we gather for a special Seine River dinner cruise.
