ETA-IL is Now Required for US Passport Holders

US passport holders are now required to obtain the ETA-IL to travel to Israel. This Electronic Travel Authorization serves as a pre-registration for entry, and you must secure it prior to your flight. Applying online is straightforward and takes just a few minutes! The application fee is 25 NIS (approximately $7.65 as of this writing). Most people are approved within a few minutes, but it can take up to 72 hours, so be sure to apply well ahead of your travel date. The ETA-IL, once approved, is good for 2 years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first.
