Join Fr. Martin Rangel Garcia on Pilgrimage
Fr. Martin Rangel Garcia has been a priest with the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP) since 2018. He was born in Guadalupe Distrito Bravo, Chihuahua, Mexico, a town situated along the US-Mexican border, and grew up in a devout Catholic family. He spent his elementary years in Arizona, attending Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Queen Creek, before his family moved to Texas. Fr. Martin is perfectly fluent in both English and Spanish. Â
He joined a missionary group in 2004 for eight years, which strengthened his vocation. He was particularly drawn to the FSSP because he sought community life, a solid Catholic formation, and was motivated by a desire to preserve the Traditional Latin Mass (Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite).  He entered Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary in Denton, Nebraska, in 2011 and was ordained to the sacred priesthood on May 26, 2018, at Saint Cecilia Cathedral in Omaha, Nebraska, by the Most Reverend Alexander Sample, Archbishop of Portland, Oregon. Following his ordination, his initial permanent assignments were in Mexico City and Guadalajara. He has served in the Phoenix area, where he also spent many of his years growing up, and is currently an Assistant Pastor at Mater Misericordiae Parish.
