Join George Rainone on Pilgrimage

George Rainone is a lifelong Catholic born and raised in New Rochelle, NY.  While obtaining an Accounting degree from Iona College he met Mary Lou, his wife of 45 years. They had five wonderful children.

Throughout his life George has maintained a love of history, local and world history. He served as a board member of both the New Rochelle Historical Society and Thomas Paine National Historical Association. Through a passion for genealogy and family history he has discovered family members dating back to the Protestant Reformation in the 1500’s, and long lost relatives of this generation, some of whom he has been able to meet.

Following 25 years of service working for the City of New Rochelle and seeing their children grown, George and Mary Lou retired to Rock Hill, SC.  They became members of the Saint Anne Church community where he is a lector at morning Mass.

Retirement has afforded him the opportunity to travel and see some of those historical site that have held his imagination all his life.  Most recently, he visited his paternal ancestral home town in Italy where he was able to meet a great number of cousins.
