What is a Canonization and Why is it so Special?

Canonization is the Church’s way of formally recognizing someone as a Saint. It recognizes that the person is in Heaven and can be officially mentioned in the liturgy of the Church and invoked publicly.

The opportunity to be in Rome during the Canonization of a Saint is a very special and rare gift. In 2025, it is even more special to be there for this event as it is a Jubilee year.

The official date has not yet been announced. However, it is expected to be in the mid-summer of 2025. Please watch here or sign up to be notified when dates are announced.

Will trips to the Canonization visit other sites as well?
