Join Dr. Carly York on Pilgrimage

Dr. Carly York is a Catholic cantor, performing artist, and educator who has spent more than 25 years helping people encounter Christ through sacred music and Scripture. A convert to Catholicism, Carly blends prayerful chant with accessible teaching drawn from her advanced academic training, which includes: an Ed.D. in Education Leadership (Seton Hall); a M.A. in Liturgical Music (Catholic University of America); and a M.M. in Voice Performance & Pedagogy (University of Illinois). She serves as Principal Cantor at the Parish of St. Mary in Colts Neck, NJ. She is the Manager of Operations & Education for the American Classical Orchestra in New York City, where she manages all details for concerts at Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall among other venues, as well as the education programs, social media, and community engagement for the Orchestra. Carly’s work spans parish ministry; International and Catholic school teaching and administration; university teaching, cultural institution leadership; and professional writing. Fr. Michael LankfordOur Spiritual Director: Fr. Michael Lankford-Stokes

Father Michael Lankford-Stokes was born Athens, Greece and raised in Grosse Pointe, Michigan and Panama City, Republic of Panama. He received his undergraduate in European History and Humanities from Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan. His pre-Theology at Catholic University of America, Theological College, Washington, D.C., and further graduate work at the Pontifical College Josephinum Seminary, Columbus, Ohio.  Father did studies in Ecumenical Relations: Rome, Heidelberg, and London directed and funded by the National Episcopal Church. Father Lankford-Stokes was ordained to the Priesthood by The Most Reverend Bishop John C. Reiss, for the Diocese of Trenton on 16 May 1992. Father Lankford- Stokes has studied and lectured in Italy, Greece and Turkey. Father Michael has been part of various pilgrimage teams in the Holy Land, Turkey, Greece, Germany and Italy. Father Lankford-Stokes has served several parishes in the Diocese of Trenton. Father Michael was Catholic Staff Chaplain, East Orange VA Medical Center, East Orange, NJ for 20 years. Today, Father Michael is Pastor of Holy Cross Parish, Rumson, NJ. Father Michael is a Knight Commander: Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre, Rome. Knight Grand Cross of Order of Ss.
