Join Fr. Jason Thuerauf on Pilgrimage
Father Jason Thuerauf is a farm boy who became a priest. Born in Iowa, he spent boyhood years on a farm in Arizona. He attended a Franciscan University Youth Conference in 1991 which ignited a desire to attend the Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio. He went on to become a missionary in Russia and discovered God calling him to be a priest. Bishop Manuel Moreno ordained him as a priest in 1999.
Father has served as a parish priest for the last 25 years, including his current assignment as the pastor of Saint Jude Parish in Lakewood. In 2019, he completed an additional masters degree from Catholic University of America in Ecclesial Administration and Management. The additional formation has increased his love for leading Catholic parishes.
Father Thuerauf has been graced with a love Jesus’s presence in the Eucharist and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. When he reflects upon the many blessings which God has bestowed upon him, he says, “Serving as a parish priest is a joyful existence lived in the love of God! I’ve got to be the most blessed man on the planet.”
